How Scores are Calculated and Explanation of Spreadsheet Color Codes
Top angler awards are based on the best 15-day average. When you reach 15 days your name will appear in red letters. Yellow boxes should be the days that are taken off. They will still count on your total and for bonuses but not in your best 15-day average. This was requested by anglers for a couple of reasons: not everyone can fish every day and this gives anglers a better chance to compete for top angler prizes. Managers also felt it would also give anglers with lower numbers a better chance in the lottery drawings. Green boxes should be your next lowest number that will be taken off if you bring in a higher number of entries. Tickets for anyone who gets over 15 days are given based on the best 15 days also. If your lowest number is 10 and you bring in 25 entries on your sixteenth day, you would only put in 15 tickets for that day and your 10 would show up in yellow. As your totals go up, you are given more for bonus $ to offset not getting all of the lottery tickets. The column with the minus # is the number taken out, and it should equal the yellow numbers of each angler. You subtract that number from the total and divide by 15 to get the 15-day average. Remember that all entries count in the total and for bonus $ amounts.
