New Flathead Lake Recreational and Graphical Weather Forecasts
from NWS Missoula New Flathead Lake Recreational and Graphical Forecasts Available from National Weather Service Missoula
National Weather Service Missoula, MT
Beginning Thursday June 3, 2010 the National Weather Service in Missoula, Montana will be issuing a new recreational and graphical weather forecast for Flathead Lake. This forecast will be valid for a two day period, including overnight conditions, winds and wave heights. Real-time weather observations around Flathead Lake will also be available on the graphical forecast web page. The Flathead Lake recreational and graphical forecast is provided to give boaters, and public safety personnel more information about lake conditions before venturing out. The forecasts can be obtained at the NWS Missoula homepage www.weather.gov/missoula and clicking on the link to the Flathead Lake forecast off the left side menu. The direct link to the forecast is http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mso/flatheadlake. The forecast will also be broadcast over the NOAA Weather radio from the Blacktail Mountain transmitter on frequency 162.55 MHz. |
