2012 SPRING MACK DAYS

Rules of Disqualification

It is the intention of this event to promote good sportsmanship and fair play. Interpretation of the rules shall be exclusively left to the event officials/organizers. Failure to live up to any of the prescribed requirements or failure of a contestant to conduct him or herself as a sportsperson during the events shall automatically disqualify the contestant from the event and from eligibility for prizes.

Fishing event committee/officials reserve the right to disqualify anyone entered in the event who is being rude or disrespectful to any event staff or official.

Participants are required to have all permits and licenses required for the event and will be disqualified if these are not in the anglers possession or if the participant refuses to show his/her permit on demand to CSKT/or Montana Fish & Game officials.

Unsportsmanlike conduct and cheating will result in disqualification and includes:
  • pooling of fish by anglers entered/or having an angler on board a boat who is not entering their own catch. All anglers on board a boat are required to enter the event-non entrants may NOT fish in the same boat with entrants. One exception only-entrants may fish alongside non-entrants while on board a charter boat which is engaged in a passenger-for-hire service.  That angler may only enter his/her catch.  Anglers may phone in their information to get an entry number at 406-883-2888 ex. 7294 during the work week 406-270-3386 or 406-982-3142 during the weekend. All fish are to be checked in at the check-in sites.
  • harvesting of fish on days other than Friday through Sunday of the event (pre-fishing) and submitting those fish for entry. Fish entered in the event are to be harvested on the day of entry.
  • violation of any regulation within the state and tribal fishing regulation booklets.

Only event officials or anglers have the right to protest the actions of another angler. Protests by anglers must be filed in writing no later than 12 hours after the close of that fishing day. The event committee/officials will convene to investigate and make a decision. The decision will be a majority vote of the committee members/officials in attendance (3 minimum) and will be final. Contestants waive any right or opportunity to appeal the decision of the committee/officials to a higher authority, including any court of jurisdiction in this or any other state. Any person found violating the rules may be immediately disqualified and the reasons for disqualification announced at the event headquarters. Event officials reserve the right to change or modify these rules at any time up to the beginning of the event.
