Tagged Fish Numbers and Map

There will be close to 800 lake trout tagged and adipose fin clipped for the Spring Event.  These fish will be worth $10- $5,000 each.

Total $ for this category will be $66,100!!!

We ask that everyone be careful and keep your safety and your passengers safety your first priority.  No fish is worth taking chances that may put you and your passengers in danger.  Weather can change quickly.  Be aware of changing winds and clouds.

Good luck to everyone!!!

RELEASE LOCATIONS FOR TWENTY TAGGED LAKE TROUT

Tags were placed by agency personnel between March 3rd and March 11th 2007.  The adipose fin on tagged fish is clipped in half; check a regulations booklet to identify the adipose fin.  If you catch a clipped fish, call 270-3386.  The tags are electronic and not visible.  We will not be scanning every lake trout.  We will be watching for the clipped fin-then we will scan.

Tagged Fish Category-Rules:

Background: Up to 800 lake trout will be tagged before the event.  They will be tagged at different locations in Flathead Lake by CSKT fisheries staff.

Tagged fish will be released throughout the lake and the locations will be put on the website for everyone
to see.

PIT tags will be implanted beneath the skin in 10 lake trout and the adipose fin will be clipped.  The tags are not visible.  All adipose fin clipped lake trout will be scanned with an electronic reader by staff when fish are turned in at the check-in stations.
